- Description
-
This notebook covers the period February-September 1880. It was used, probably by Albert Herrick, to keep a record of the lamps burning at the Menlo Park laboratory complex between February and May 1880. Near the end of the book is an index to the lamps. Toward the end of the book there are also a few other notes, calculations, and drawings, including one dated September 20, 1880. On pages 272-281 is a list of carbon lamps, numbered 1-248, which appears to be in Edison\'s hand. The label on the front cover is marked \"Record of Lamps.\"" The inside front cover is inscribed: \""Notice All lamps in this book have enameled inside globes unless otherwise mentioned.\"" The book contains 284 numbered pages.
Blank pages: 204-205, 210-211, 228-229, 234-261, 266-271, 282-283.
Missing page numbers: 13-14, 2 1-22, 195-196, 223-224."
