Description: This notebook was used by Edison during February-March 1916 for notes on experiments to improve the composition of disc record blanks, the application of varnish surfaces during the transfer process, and the operations of disc production and pressing. Included are notes on different metallic plates used during transfers, along with a calculation of the number of records that might be produced each day. Also included is additional information on experiments 423E and 457E, which are described in Book 7 and Book 9 respectively. The front cover is labeled \"Disc 8\"" and \""Mechanical.\"" The pages are unnumbered. Only 6 pages have been used."
