This notebook covers the period December 1891-June 1892. It was used by Joseph W. Harris, primarily for notes regarding routine ore assays and other chemical analyses. Included are entries on solutions nos. 1-960, tested to lower the phosphorous content of iron ore concentrate. The book also contains notes and drawings pertaining to insulation, lubrication, and the inductive capacity of metal stearates, as well as a one-page entry concerning the duplication of phonograph cylinders. Material related to the inductive capacity experiments can be found in Arthur E. Kennelly Notebooks #5 and #6. The front cover is labeled \"Analytical & Experimental Notes by Jos. W. Harris.\"" The pages are unnumbered. Approximately 180 pages have been used.
