- Description
-
This folder contains dated notes and drawings from 1902, as well as undated material possibly from the same year. Included are drawings by Edison of experimental apparatus pertaining to x-rays, electromagnetism, and telephony. There are also documents relating to fluorescent lighting, electric meters, phonographs, and an electric furnace. Many of the Edison drawings include dates, notations, or contributions by John F. Ott. Several contain notations indicating their use in the patent interference case, Edison v. Macdonald (see Legal Department Records, Legal Series), and some bear an archivist\'s inscriptions.
Approximately 60 percent of the documents have been selected. The items not selected consist primarily of notes by unidentified laboratory employees on automobiles, batteries, and electric meters.
