Gas explosion in Newark left Clark Thread Works w/o light except in portion with Edison iso plant. American Bank Note Co. and Merrimack Mills in Lowell have iso plants. Iso plant in Stillwater, MN at farm implement factory. Iso plant at Fall River Bleachery, MA. For optimum lamp life, Upton recommends running at lower candle power and to add more lamps to get requisite light output; keep the commutator in good condition also.
