Have retained Lucchini to prolong Italian patent 10,925 of 6/23/1879, both in the interest of the company owning the patent and "because of the effect its expiration might have on the United States Patents, through the instrumentality of Mr. C.H. Coster"; Lucchini found your co. owns the patent; he paid the fees to prolong the patent, but we need power of attorney as requested in our last letter; we infer from yours of 2nd inst. that patent belongs to Edison Co. of Milan; since this patent and Italian patent 11,393, 12/6/1879 should not be allowed to lapse, we suggest you give Lucchini full power of attorney or procure it from the proper company
