Berlin October 15th, 01 Thomas A. Edison Esq. Orange, New Jersey U.S.A. Dear Sir, I think it will prove advantageous to have a few complete electrodes for a demonstration before the Patent Office, as well as it will be of interest to the gentlemen connected with the battery case to see them. I only brought, for my experiments, electrodes of experimental size, and therefore beg you, if you find it advisable, and have some to spare, kindly send me a few, for instance of those nickel electrodes prepared shortly before you returned from Canada. Yours very respectfully, Robert Rafn [Marginalia] <Shipped Oct 26/07 by Wells Fargo + Cox Al>
