Title
[D7802ZCX], Letter from George Frederick Barker to Thomas Alva Edison, March 8th, 1878
Editor's Notes
Is to lecture on telephone before Academy of Music on 15 April -- got permission from Orton to use WU wires -- unable to see TAE when in NY because missed train to Menlo -- wanted TAE's ideas on lecture and also use of large phonograph and carbon telephones -- Bentley has taken hold of matters and will help with lecture and is enthusiastic about TAE carbon telephone -- will TAE furnish small phono like he sent Bentley for Barker to use at University (will pay for it) -- can't TAE find time to come to the lecture and stay with Barker
