Glad to have TAE's account of Preece-Hughes affair and if TAE allows will publish pricipal part of his letter, although Preece a personal friend he prefers offending him to suppressing the truth; having letters from all parties judges TAE to be well justified in his statements; notes Lord Rosse visit [use this point for annot about preceding letter re tasimeter]; discusses his and TAE's opinion re Clerac tubes [think TAE publishes something about this and might use as annot]; also suggestions re tasimeter
