- Editor's Notes
- Dr. Adams brought a letter from TAE to VP Walker (4 June) asking to procure pair of phones which it was explained were for a single lecture in Jersey City -- nothing said about a trial between Jersey City and Washington -- would not have been allowed if this were the case -- WU granted wire from Jersey City to Washington understanding that Walker had approved such an lecture -- without Walker's authority Adams also procured a Phelps crown telephone from WU shops -- attached to this letter is a clipping from Adams to the Editor of the Evening Journal responding to TAE's letter published 20 June denying Adams had permission
