- Title
- [D7903ZCA], Letter from Uriah Hunt Painter to Thomas Alva Edison, March 14th, 1879
- Editor's Notes
- Bliss here at end of Congressional session; pleased with my work in getting Pen put on same basis as printed matter & offers me $1000. Writes that he [UP2] had offered Bliss Phono Co. stock "on ground floor" but had declined. Now he thinks wants to let Bliss "have the $1000 he is to send me & call it square;" this is "liberal" treatment of Bliss. TAE has not drawn on account for expenses related to megaphone & aerophone.
