- Long, newsy letter. Went with Applebaugh for long interview with Preece and is "in" with him. Will write later on microphone controversy; "it is not unlikely you have gone somewhat astray on [Preece]; proposes having Whitehouse make independent inquiry. EHJ can help with ELight in England. "Things are moving but under a cloud of nausea of playing out of chalks. Everything grows weak--have frequently to change chalks 2 or 3 times a week."
