Title

[D7920ZAU], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Tracy Robinson Edson, July 7th, 1879

Editor's Notes

Plans for light exhibit: generator and 30 lamps, then second generator and 30 more lamps. Extremely pleased with dynamo--96% efficiency, low loss in wires. Have 80 feet of coated pipe and almost ready to run wires. Sent 1500 circulars West about platinum & getting "overwhelming" replies. Regulator good. Getting pure oxide of zirconium and will soon have enough for experiments on burner. "Everything looks bright" but will continue trying to get more than 6 burners per HP. Spending about $400/week with enough money on hand for several weeks.
