- "What is the lowest price at which you will furnish us carbon buttons for transmitter?" Marg: "Can furnish them at any price from 1 ct to 15 cts. The present button 10 cts. I suggest that we do not care about making them & do not make any money. The only reason why I make them is that far as the carbon button is concerned they will be absolutely the same at all times & can be relied on. A saving of 3 or 4 cents affected by less care in [???] lamp black &c would be positive loss. It would be great deal better to make inferior [work?] & use a good button as the chances of saving in that direction is far greater."
