- Quarrelled with assistant & with Batch, who said TAE better off without him. Shop managed poorly "by ignorant parties." Sympathetic to TAE and likes working on great problem "but now things have gone too far." Taking short vacation, then will return to see if TAE agrees. Does not want higher wage, and will not interfere with TAE manufacturing.
