- Best solution to have glass made specially for your needs. Send sample globe with wires attached. Marg: "Should like several samples of glass, made in tubes like sample sent you. We have tried lime glass no good, potash glass, pretty good; no other kind tried. It may be that lead glass having large quantity lead would answer our purpose better as its power of conducting head quickly will probably increase with the amount of lead." "Grif ask boston for samples of tubes large & small [---] used in lamp & send--inch of each will do."
