Title
[D8020ZEW], Letter from James O Green to Thomas Alva Edison, May 27th, 1880
Editor's Notes
Edson says you have trouble fitting ends of manilla fiber loops to platinum clamps. "Any good sail fitter can plait three fibres into almost any desired shape;" perhaps this is useful idea. Marg: "We have made a machine to plait the fibres but it is useless for reason that each fibre shrinks away from its neighbor when carbonized hence is all crumbled in pcs when any attempt is made to clamp it."
