- Title
- [D8023ZBQ], Letter from Grosvenor Porter Lowrey to Thomas Alva Edison, December 17th, 1880
- Editor's Notes
- Declined to submit TAE's resignation after Fabbri objected that "Edison's name is a tower of strength to us" even if he never attends meetings. Reluctantly approached another director to resign. Organized & filed articles of assoc of Edison Electric Illuminating Co of NY under the general gas company act. Has legal right to transform self from gas to electric illuminating co; appropriate ordinance already drafted and will introduce it Tuesday. Draft ordinance enclosed; SLG will explain it. Hears that Hyde claims to make lamps 10cents each & burn 10 per hp.
