- [Actually 12 Jan., before `prior' doc.] Twombly asked Wheeler for written estimate of what qn equitable settlement would be re JCR, A&P, etc. & wants to see JCR once it is in hand, "& have the fair thing done! I have name a price & it did not scare him!" Wants to see ZFW. Trusts TAE has retained piece of ore milling co for him; saw Scott re testimony; things looking better than for 3 years. "With this incubus out of the way & money realized, you will doubtless conclude I am not only a horse leech but can draw blood from a turnip if not a stone." Sometimes rats drown when deserting and ship not sink anyway.
