- Reply to yours regarding amalgamation terms. Much I don't like but necessary to compromise. The Co's big mistake was in raising far too little money at outset; couldn't get more becausse of patent troubles, PO, & Bell settlement in US. We are on our last legs, but will not compromise that TAE's name & interest be maintained under all circumstances. Proposed terms; TAE's half share of profits reserved to him. Old Co will need to raise substantial money for union. PS If union carried out, will have to raise money for Glasgow Co. Have only 2000 pounds left.
