- Foote (M.D.) writes on his own letterhead [sic, in advance]: "Im sorry to trouble you about so small an account as mine but I shall be very much cramped for money next week in fact I am now and you would exceedingly oblige me if you would send me the small amount of the enclosed bill. A part of it has been running 5 months and the rest over 2. My terms are strictly cash. I so advertize and there are not over 5 private individuals beside yoursel fthat I do not enforce this rule with. If you cannot send check by return mail please write & let me know how soon you can."
