- Title
- [D8104ZCM], Letter from Compania Chilena Telefonos de Edison, Jose D Husbands to Thomas Alva Edison, August 17th, 1881
- Editor's Notes
- On company head, Executive Office. Noted "Ansd" at top. "I would like one of your magnetic ore separating machines more especially for iron in black sands. Any terms agreemable to you will be acceptable to me. Also mail instructions regarding the same. I am very anxious to receive a letter from you, as I want all questions settled between us, so far as I am concerned there never would be one, unless caused by yourself my written & spoken promises having fulfilled to the letter. I will take pleasure in serving you in any manner that will not force me to take a step backwards, as would be the case if I were to operate through Mess. Kendall & Co. I do not admit our equal in this line of business on this coast, at least at present until others have broken in both themselves & their employees to the needs of the business."
