Hampton[?] engine "does not give satisfaction." Gramme "is not sensitive enough and allows very large variations in speed" making emf hard to regulate. "The Brown engine was so perfect that it makes this seem doubly bad." Columbia lamps nearly ready. Consider for inclusion; gives information about selection process for prime movers. (DH)
