Title
[D8133ZBE], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Thomas Alva Edison, December 15th, 1881
Editor's Notes
Sends papers showing that Edison Light made a promising debut in London last night. Preece attacked by advocates of other lighting systems as being biased pro-TAE. Gives details of demo. Received today several applications for lighting installations. "This presages a storm of such applications when I shall have the Viaduct exhibition in full blaze." Discussion of Fabbri's negotiations here. Having trouble with journals heating in the steam dynamo, more so than at Paris. Discouraging since must run 600-700 lights fr 4 PM to sunrise next AM.
