- Expo opened temporarily last night. Very few lamps were running. Tells him of a new lamp baswed on old matearials and seems to be combo of arc and incandescent. No regulator and costs 25 cents ea. Sketches it. Swan lit up Congress room "after a fashion, with lights that did not give 8 candles I am sure."
