Title
[D8135ZBI], Letter from Otto A Moses to Thomas Alva Edison, September 7th, 1881
Editor's Notes
US has only 7 of 150 jurors in expo; but must be best men we can get. "The wire pulling has already begun." Worries that arc lighting backers will be put in charge of electric light section. "Do not underestimate the importance of this." "Everyday we have distinguished visitors." King of Hawaii also came and was interested in motograph telephone; asked Batchelor to sing a song through it; says fortunate that Batchelor sang "Mary Had a Little Lamb" instead of his other favorite, "There was an old nigger," which would have been embarrassing. [Not! Mrs Edison]
