King of Hawaii also came and was interested in motograph telephone; asked Batchelor to sing a song through it; says fortunate that Batchelor sang "Mary Had a Little Lamb" instead of his other favorite, "There was an old nigger," which would have been embarrassing. [Not! Mrs Edison]
