- Title
- [D8142ZBN], Letter from L Davis to Thomas Alva Edison, August 4th, 1881
- Editor's Notes
- "In a conversation with Mr Antonio Meucci of Staten Island, in relation to your suit before the Patent Office with Mr Maxim, he showed me articles and mentioned facts which would be of material benefit to you in case of further litigation and which, if made use of during the late examination would have tended to a different decision." Think you'rve corresponded with Meucci before he's fluent in French, Italian, Spanish but not English. "His pecuniary circumstances are very much straitened and I am sure he would readily impart the information spoken of."
