- Enclose statement (follows). Received much encouragement at AAAS. "Professor Alex Graham Bell has just sent me a very handsomly letter expressing his high appreciation of "Science" and stating his belief that it will take the place of Nature." He says he will be glad to enter into any plan for its advancement by giving it his personal help and attentionk if I will state my plans and state what he can do. Bell states he resolves "Science" to be on a strong basis, and [---] when people return I think he can arrange it so."
