- [enclosure to D8150ZAM] Heard through Pender's nephew in Yokohama that LeGendre is now in Hong Kong trying to start telephone business. Five days later, same newphew reports that nothing is settled but Hong Kong governor appears to favor Morris and appointed him telegraph inspector. Hall adds that Morris/Legendre talking about amalgamation but we understand they have no rights there.
