- Re Paine and "Worombo people;" they gave an order to Maxim but are unhappy with its performance. Borden's brother is soliciting shoe factories in Brockton for sales; Borden needs the 250 and 500 light machines badly for iso plants. Contract for King Philip Mill is for 705 lamps. Hutchinson and Hand are working on a financial statement for Iso Co; says shows co. "is in good shape everything considered, although collections are rather slow." Getting Draper's house lighted. Dyer writes fr DC wrt hearing on Sawyer litigation. Borden writes abt his expts w/ storage batty. Re possibliity of lighting NY state capitol. Hears that Faure will make an exhibit on a steamer to drum up interest among investors. Barker thinks that Plante batty "probably vitiates the Faure patents. He says it is analagous to Paccinoti and Gramme in that respect." On Sat. EELC had $6900 in bank; Iso Co $840; Ill. Co. $5800. Encloses copyof Mayor Carter Harrison's veto of Brush light in Chicago; Harrison is a college friend of Eaton's. Encloses letter from ST Armstrong abt failure of Brush light in Denver.
