- Encloses letter fr Dickerson & Dickerson attys giving their opinions abt our notifying patent infringers. CE Jones of Cincinnati wants to represent Iso Co there; David [TBA David?] recommends them. Letter fr Betts on same subject as Dickerson's letter. About hearing before patent commissioner in DC: "I am satisfied the case is overwhelmingly in our favor in the Commissioner's mind as regards the charge of bribery.." Sorry that Johnson is having Knight take charge of the wiring; it "seems to have been wretchedly done." Encloses letter fr Hazard in which he says that "Houston, representing the American Co., which is a member of the Gramme combinatin, is ready to sue Faure in behalf of the Gramme Company.." But Eaton recommends not suing anyone till "the Swan matter is determined." Ladd writes fr San Francisco saying that American Co starting up there. Pamphlet "The Edison Light" is almost exhausted; Eaton will issue another edition; Navarro has translated into Spanish. Navarro says that gas companies in NYC alone make $6M annual profit and are setting aside a fund to fight electric light. Kruesi wants to reconstruct boxes and joints. Encloses a proposal fr Moses for him to go into arc light business; Eaton calls "objectionable," but still says that general question of going into arc lighting worth considering.
