Document contains several TAE marginalia/notes; unusual on Eaton report. Making accts for Paris companies; Insull promised figures two weeks ago, but haven't yet seen. Morgan's house lit last night; told that "Morgan was delighted;" but armature of 250 light machine sparked and needs replaced. Wants to put item in Bulletin to explain method of measuring candlepower of lamps. Includes TAE marginalia abt candlepower of arc vs incandescent. Merrimac plant running well. Controversy abt Shaw not paying all of Hughes's expenses. Re lighting of bldg for Anderson; important to do it. Some of the committee skeptical abt safety of system. "Besides that, the fiasco that afternoon in our basement in his presence has hurt us in the estimation of himself and others." Senate patent bill will probably die in committee. 2 more intersections installed in Pearl St. district, leaving 14 to be laid; 57 safety catches installed, about 15 more to go; just a few more mains left to go also. House connections are going very slowly though. Estimates 2 more weeks to finish laying street conductors. Hathaway Electric L&P Co. incorporated and capitalized at $10M. Brush-Swan EL Co. of New England incorporated at $2M; Stockley one of the directors. Electrical Storage and Power Co. was incorporated June 3; Navarro one of the directors. Light and Force Co. incorporated also; it's the Faure Co.
