Title
[D8233ZCL], Letter from Charles L Dean to Thomas Alva Edison, June 23rd, 1882
Editor's Notes
Enclose letter from Southwark Foundary, in reply to mine asking for 4 engines with new cylinders, ASAP. See the reply; "we must do something at once about engines or we shall get left. They are the only thing that will keep us back. I can turn the rest of the work out without any trouble in time. Shall we take the engines as they are, and if Porter makes his cylinder a success why we can use them on therest of the engines." TAE marg: "We must use the old cylinders for the four Porter engines if we cannot get new ones."
