[D8235L], Letter from William Symes Andrews to Thomas Alva Edison, May 27th, 1882

Editor's Notes

"By request of Mr Clark I send you notes of experiments we made with double magnets of four inch cores--Unfortunately the small bar armature has gone wrong, in some of the connections--so we put in an ordinary "A" armature and made the tests--You will note that the armature measures high (.143 ohm) This is due to some new wire being used in it--Mr Deanknows about it, and it will not be used an more"
