Title
[D8237I], Telegram from Jose Francisco de Navarro to Thomas Alva Edison, March 4th, 1882
Editor's Notes
[wire from Fort Monroe, VA] "The establishment is like that of the uptown Delmonico but handsomer and about four times the area embracing cafe billiard restaurant ball & lounging rooms. There are over one hundred and fifty lights now. I would want a plan of about three hundred lights all of the very best without any stint. People are very critical here and gas people would make the best of any deficiency. Let us start with a handsome exhibition. What would be the cost of such a plan ten or fifteen percent more or less." TAE marg: "Answered. $3800 if it was to be fancy."
