- Editor's Notes
- Have rcd no news of 100, 50, or 10 candle lamps; keep us posted. Also have no definite news about central station regulators; what we have heard is "calculated to inspire doubts and hesitation." Hear of need for mercury on brushes; Lieb talks about governor problems, all tending toward doubt. Haven't settled appointment of correspondent to send reports to us of your doings. Have pending negotations for simple eclairage companies in Germany and Austria that wouln't be bound to Edison system; Porges & others don't see that these would be based on infringements and therefore valueless to us. Our careful negotiations with Siemens jeopardized by "violent methods" of Porges, who's intent on establishing such companies which wouldn't help us in event of fight with Siemens.
