Title
[D8239ZEJ], Letter from John Hopkinson to Edison Electric Light Co Ltd, September 15th, 1882
Editor's Notes
[typed copy] Inspected #2 dynamo, have seen it running, and read Fleming's reports of 11th and 12th. #2 now works better than when new. Commutator insulation was inferior. Remember that #3 broke down in similar manner; think both machines may have been damaged in demonstration of switching from one to the other. Agree with Fleming that TAE should test before sending to us. Practical limit of machine is now power of the brushes to carry off the current.
