- Plenty of places where water power is cheap ($2.50 to $5.00 per hp/year. How about wiring from there on the basis of 20% or 25% loss? Can compensate for loss by increasing speed of armatures? TAE marg: "You can figure to lose 20 percent and still get the proper Volts at lamps to give their proper Cpower. You would have to increase speed of dynamos it would not not heat any more except the bearings might heat."
