Abstract

As requested, report on 3 Hopkinson patents. 2481 (1879): US application would interfere with Fields later pat. Fields could try to prove earlier date of conception but Hopkinson would be bound by his dates and at great disadvantage. No. 4650 (1879): discusses various figures; not encouraging. No 2989 (1881): believe can get US pats on these devices.
