- Yours of 26 Feby unanswered due to absence in Florida and sickness upon return. Re: Hopkinson patents, think he could patent in US only devices set out in 3rd claim of 2989 (1881). A Co of mine is forming, and advise Hopkinson to take out US patents and then talk settlement if Co wants to adopt his principle. [TAE had been in Florida with Mrs Edison, yes? Tc]
