- [typed copy] Referring to cable correspondence, "in English patent 2927 and US pat 213550 a machine is described where Morse characters were indented in paper and the characters reproduced audibily from these indentations." See TI exhibit 7-12 (11 July 1877) for use of phonograph in telephony; see TI exhibit 1115-12. Send you Nottage contract, which is void as N only exhibits phonos and won't sell them. Finally got about $1,000 back from him; Puskas would know how much. Contract permitted disclaimers. Have heard n othing from him for 3-4 years. This is my only copy of agrmnt. Sorry for delay in answering cable; me, INsull, and EHJ all away.
