- Editor's Notes
- Wilber called on me 30 Oct; complained his drawers opened by Dyer and Seeley but Dyer disposed of that charge. Wilber complains Dyer maligns him in DC, says unless you stop it or fire D he will retaliate. "Wilber drew out of his pocket a blank patent affidavit executed by Griffiths in blank. He says Griffiths used to execute them in scores and let you fill them up at your leisure. He claims that such an irregularity will vitiate y our patents. He says he will use that face and other damaging facts against us unless you induce people who are about you to stop injuring him." I tried to smooth matters over, maybe partially successful.
