[D8249ZBN], Letter from Theodore Turrettini to Thomas Alva Edison, December 25th, 1882
Editor's Notes
[written from Geneva] Got your 21 Dec cable inquiring about Geneva electric rwy, and replied from Basel. Had cabled you 3 months ago about English company forming to induce Erwy in Switzerland. Co. purchased concession and matter in good way under Taylor. Expect agreeement soon with Tramway Co. of Geneva . Rcd your plans and drawings for the rr, but with no explanation. Discusses track construction. Finished a "very good" dynamo machine for 250 lamps without any drawing from you. Geneva Co has hired agents; but the English co here, acting dishonestly, also giving your light to all who ask, in violation of your exclusive contract with out Geneva Co. Need from you declaration in favor of Geneva Co.; writes text of cable TAE to send stating the Geneva Co has his exclusive authority to make and sell lamps.
