"On July 1st 1882, we loaned you $12, 240 upon 100 Shares Edison Electric Light Co. Stock. On July 6th and Nov 6th 1882, we loaned you $25,000 on 846 shares Illuminating Co. Stock. On January 2nd 1883, we further loaned $2,337.80 on 50 Shares Isolated Co. Stock. As one of our partners retires from the firm on January 1st next, we are desirous of closing up our matters as nearly as possible previous to that date and therefore, thank you, on or before Dec. 15th to pay us off the above loans."
