- due to "absence of precautionary measures to prevent fires on your premises," at Pearl and Goerck--and in light of the argument for these measures "in the shape of the fire last night"--board recommends all insurance companies cancel their policies on the property. Says measures must be taken to ensure through (?) chimneys and prevent accumulation of waste. Recommends galvanized iron boxes to dispose of waste and daily removal. Edison marginalia: "We are doing what you request and will want Goerck St inspected in about a week." SB Eaton marginalia: "Wrote Mr. Anderson as to Pearl St." Anderson is author of letter.
