- [an interesting representative of tensions between Const Dept and local companies over equipment. Also notable for being signed "TAE Constr. Dept.##by TAE"] Answer to complaints in letter of the 22nd about ship dates of dynamos, engine, indicators. Again note the 10" belts are only a problem in Lawrence. Lament the tone taken. "We shall be obliged if, in future, you will kindly suppress any suggestions as to the management of our affairs. We are doing all we possibly can for you and we do not feel that you are justified in writing us letters of this nature."
