- Thanks for yours of 18th. In answer to your inquiry about lights burned in Providence district, I wasn't informed about this subject but your letter cleared matter up. The list of lights given to you was the total number of Edison lamps put in. Agree with Borden that thorough canvass should be made in Providence, which I wasn't able to do. Capital here is abundant if sought properly. Weston, Maxim, Brush, etc lights all used here but people waiting for Edison light, but if we had same experience here as in Boston, Fall River, Brockton, and Norwich it would be fatal. PS Just called on by Rowland Hayard about lighting soda works near Syracuse.
