Title
[D8325ZDD], Letter from John Hoskin to Thomas Alva Edison, December 11th, 1883
Editor's Notes
Letter of Agency The Edison Company for Isolated Lighting Philadelphia . Is there any reason against running dynamos of unequal size in multple arc # Such case may come up whne the customer presfers to use 2 dynamos instead of one the smaller by day and the the both by night# Is ther any special care in needed in the selection ot running of such dynamos if the larger overloads the smaller. It does not seem to be a problem except ias a questions of quantitiy I am told that I am wrong so I take the liberty of appealing to you. TAE marginalia " If the speed of both dynamos do not vary from what they are set up at and the ressitance [speeds?} are proportional as the load will divide according to the capacity they run {-----?} together We do that ot our central station plants" TAE
