Title
[D8326K], Letter from Frank Seymour Hastings to Charles Edward Chinnock, July 11th, 1883
Editor's Notes
[enclosure to D8326J] I enclose a letter sent from an agent in the city to an agent of the New England Dept. This deserves careful attention. "It is not enough that our customers are satisfied; the bills for lighting should not be more that gas. One of two things must be done: either they must be persuaded that they are using a greater amount of light than gas, or their bills must be reduced accordingly." If you agree with me please see these people yourself or at least send me a full report so I can reply to them.
