Editor's Notes
Visited by French Army officer in charge of optical telegraphy. Wants intense, compact, sturdy, and lightweight electric light. What do you suggest? Battery? TAE marg: "We can make a 100 or 150 candlepower lamps the whole of light coming from area one inch & 1/2. A faure battery would probably answer. Light would require 2600 ft lbs per minute."
